• All products containing dimethyl fumarate biocide (DMF)
• Any printed materials, films, audio, CDs, DVDs, cassettes containing propaganda of a violent and/or aggressive nature or far-right materials, with an emphasis on race, a militant character or materials encouraging aggression against the free democratic order and institutions. In addition, any flags, replicas, clothing or memorabilia, or copies thereof, representing extremist and/or aggressive undemocratic and/or violent groups and/or ideologies.
• Asbestos fibres: crocidolite, amosite, anthophyllite, actinolite, tremolite, subject to the Rotterdam Convention
• Certain carcinogens
• Certain chemicals covered by the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC)
• Certain food products (if the weight of the cargo is 20 kg or more) from certain countries cannot be cleared in Germany. For details, contact the German customs authority (GTS).
• Certain pesticides covered by the Rotterdam Convention.
• Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora (CITES)
• Chlorofluorocarbon (CFC)
• Counterfeit coins and banknotes.

• Fighting dogs: pit bull terrier, American Staffordshire terrier, Staffordshire bull terrier, bull terrier or any mixed breeds of the above. In addition, each Bundesland (state) of the Republic (Germany) has additional bans on specific dogs beyond those mentioned, including in particular the Alano, American Bulldog, Bullmastiff, Cane Corso, Dogo Argentino, Dogue de Bordeaux, Fila Brasileiro, Mastiff, Mastino Napoletano, Perro de Presa Canario, Perro de Presa Mallorquin and Tosa Inu.
• Line cutters and switchblade knives; knives with blades that open automatically when a spring mechanism operates, or are released by the force of gravity or centrifugal force
• Fully automatic weapons; any electronic sights, laser guides or gun guides; pump-action guns with pistol grips; any concealed weapons, i.e. firing pens or knives in canes; any weapon that contains or dispenses any chemicals, except when specifically manufactured for medical or industrial use; and any weapon containing any modifications beyond the manufacturer's;
• Goods with incorrect information about their origin
• Products that infringe copyright
• Goods that infringe a trademark
• Green and black tea of Chinese origin
• Obscene or indecent materials
• Live animals ("animals" by the standard zoological/scientific definition, including insects, even fruit flies/Drosophila melanogaster and nematodes)
• Medicinal products (including "over-the-counter" drugs and certain dietary supplements that are considered medicines under German regulations; in case of uncertainty, contact the German customs authority (GTS) in advance), except for pharmaceutical manufacturers or traders holding import permits/licenses
• Offensive weapons: belt buckle knives, throwing stars, martial arts equipment, and pepper and similar sprays
• Ozone-depleting substances (ODS, such as chlorofluorocarbons (CFCs) or halon) or products containing them, except aircraft fire extinguishers (a license and permit are required for import)
• Rabies in especially vulnerable animals
• Dies (mockups), including dies and plates for manufacturing
